Geared for individuals considering a change of careers, or fresh graduates. One of our principals will meet with you on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to set learning goals and serve as a point of reference as you learn. Apprenticeship candidates that maintain their learning goals and who have reached a sufficient level of work quality and basic experience may be considered for a resident apprenticeship.
Resident apprenticeships are opportunities for people from traditional careers or with graduate degrees to work onsite with the IQ Foundry team to learn our processes and further their career by mentoring with a craftsman at IQ Foundry.
As a Resident Apprentice, you will be paired with a mentor who will guide you through hands-on experiences with our team in designing or developing projects. The ultimate goal is to help you gain experiences that can help you succeed in your career.
Our expectation is that half of your time will be spent working on projects, and the remainder of your time will be spent learning. Your mentor will be available to answer questions, give you reading assignments, and help focus your learning efforts to get the most out of your time here.
Our Resident Apprenticeships are paid and may run for 1-12 months based on progress against learning goals and general culture fit. At any point during the apprenticeship period that it seems you are not in line with our core values, or are not making satisfactory efforts or progress towards your goals, you may be asked to leave the program.
Persons completing a resident apprenticeship with our team may be offered a full time opportunity to collaborate with our team. Developers or designers who achieve a level of craft to be able to integrate fully into a project life cycle at IQ will be given a chance to grow and learn with our team and work on amazingly fulfilling projects.
