The Opportunity

IQ Foundry is seeking a Senior to Mid–Level Interactive Developer in our Madison, WI office. It's a fun and exciting opportunity where you will be constantly challenged to push the limits of web technology.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3–5 years of development experience with a focus in PHP and Flash development.

You'll need to be a creative thinker, detail-oriented, confident, and able to express ideas and concepts to other team members in an articulate, well thought-out manner.

Essential Functions:

Designing, creating, and maintaining the back end of our web applications and interactive solutions.

Specifically, developing database schema, designing and developing web applications, developing complementary front end interfaces (Javascript, Ajax, Flash), and supporting the rest of the team with development related needs.

Qualifications:

• Passion for web development
• Bright, enthusiastic, and hard working
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey concepts to technical and non-technical coworkers/clients
• Development background in object oriented programming, PHP Preferred. ASP C# .NET will be handy
• Experience with and working knowledge of HTML, CSS, DOM, Javascript and Ajax
• Experience designing and implementing complex web applications
• Experience designing complex database schema
• Ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines
• Basic proficiency with Unix/Linux

Preferred Skills

• Computer science background/degree
• Experience with version control, ideally Subversion
• Server management skills - Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP
• Knowledge of Mod Rewrite
• Familiarity with development best practices

Qualifications

• 5+ years of web design and buildout experience
• 3+ years of creative direction or team management
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelors or higher degree in a creative or technical discipline
• Knowledge of both the design and development aspects of interactive
• Project management skills; ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple projects
• Comfortable collaborating with others, thrives in a fast–paced environment, and enjoys a diversity of tasks and projects
• Independent work–style, ability to plan and execute with little direction, creative problem–solving skills and initiative
• Ability to communicate clearly between creative and technical team members
• Handle stress with grace and tact and possess an excellent sense of humor
