The Opportunity

The Lead Interactive Developer role is a senior-level position that will lead interactive projects and the project team members. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of development experience, preferably with an agency background (or other short project cycle environment--startup, service co, etc).

We are seeking a candidate who thrives when given responsibility and autonomy, and who can focus on and bring a project to fruition within it's target timeframe. There is a great dynamic range to the projects and opportunities that will be presented to you as project lead here at IQ. Projects can range from full Flash site development, HTML/CSS website development, to desktop and web application development. We even devote a part of each week to internal projects such as game ideation and we are currently developing several titles with our own IP.

Essential Functions:

The Lead Interactive Developer will serve as a project strategist with a focus on ideation, project planning, leadership, and overall technical project execution. You will serve as client advisor during the initial consultation and planning phases, and then as their advocate and lead developer during the final design and build of their project. This role will have you connected directly with decision makers throughout the entire project lifecycle, so you should be comfortable in the role of pitching ideas and solutions on the fly.

Candidate should be comfortable assuming a role as lead developer within the Flash and Actionscript 3 platform, with a focus on design patterns and object oriented development. Experience with both front and back end development on the http side is preferred. (We also iPhone, do you?)

You'll need to be a creative thinker, detail-oriented, confident, and able to express ideas and concepts to other team members in an articulate, well thought-out manner.

Qualifications:

• Passion for ideating and completing projects, beginning to end.
• Bright, enthusiastic, and hard working.
• Experience developing highly interactive Flash websites, expert level knowledge of Actionscript.
• Experience in traditional web development, HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP/MySQL, ASP/MSSQL.
• Experience designing and implementing complex web applications.
• Experience designing complex database schema.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines.
• Basic proficiency with Unix/Linux.
• Computer Science education with a minimum of Bachelors achieved

Preferred Skills:

• Experience designing and developing desktop applications.
• Experience with version control, ideally Subversion
• Server management skills
• Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP.
• Familiarity with development best practices.
